R.W. Corkery & Co.’s longstanding involvement with the Kandos Quarry assisted in the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement and accompanying management plan to support the continued operation and expansion of the Kandos Quarry. The approved project is an example of positive environmental and economic outcomes arising from the reclamation of waste rock material.
R.W. Corkery & Co. was engaged by the Client to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to support the continuation and expansion of operations at the Kandos Quarry. The Project’s proposed activities included the reclamation, processing and transportation of up to 250 000 tonnes of material from an existing waste rock emplacement.
The Kandos Quarry is located at the site of the former Carwell Creek Limestone Mine. RWC have previously completed annual reporting and prepared a Mining Rehabilitation and Environmental Management Plan for limestone mining and quarrying activities at this site.
