RWC has been advised that the Resources Regulator will be undertaking a “state-wide high visibility compliance operation” this week across all sectors of the mining and quarrying industry.
The operation “will involve around 85 safety and compliance inspectors performing unannounced inspections at more than 100 mining and quarrying operations.” The Resources Regulator will be looking at safety management systems, key risk controls and rehabilitation compliance.
A number of our mining and quarrying Clients have already been subject to announced site visits this week.
