EIS for the Avoca Tank Project now on Exhibition

Posted by admin

RWC is pleased to announce that the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Avoca Tank Project has been submitted to Bogan Shire Council for public exhibition and assessment. The Avoca Tank Project, which is located 7km northwest of the village of Girilambone in the central west of NSW, would incorporate an underground mining operation to supply copper-gold-silver ore to the existing processing plant located at the Applicant’s Tritton Copper Mine. The EIS can be viewed here.

The preparation of the EIS involved an experienced team of specialist consultancies to produce a detailed and comprehensive document to allow a determination of the application for development consent. Should the Proposal be approved, it would provide up to 55 full time-equivalent positions, resulting in contributions of approximately $15.8M and $10M annually to the economy of the Bogan Local Government Area through wages and salaries and the purchase of goods and services respectively.
