Posted by admin
The Copi Mineral Sands Project, located in the southwest of NSW, was approved by the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces on 27 May 2026. RWC has been working on this Project with RZ Resources Limited since 2015 and has assisted with the initial exploration and mine planning aspects, community, stakeholder and agency consultation, coordination of the various environmental assessments and trade off analyses, and preparation of the EIS and related application documents.
The Project will operate for 26 years, including 3 years of construction and 5 years of post-mining rehabilitation and will directly generate approximately 480 jobs during construction and 240 jobs during operations, generating $2.17 billion in wages over the life of the Project.
RWC’s Managing Director, Mitchell Bland, said
“This Project will be transformational for southwestern NSW. I am immensely proud of the RWC team that has contributed to this Project over the years and congratulate RZ Resources on this significant milestone.”
