Bowdens Silver – Brave new world of community consultation
Posted by admin
Bowdens Silver have taken the first step into the brave new world of consultation by arranging a Virtual Open Day to inform interested community members on the outcomes of assessment for the Bowdens Silver Project. Over two days on 2 July and 3 July 2020 eight presentations were hosted virtually, with RWC providing a overview of the process undertaken for assessment and compilation for the Environmental Impact Statement prepared for the Project. The presentations provided an opportunity for the consultants involved in key assessments to present their methods and outcomes and to address questions provided by the community.
Each of the presentations are available for download from the Bowdens Silver website www.bowdenssilver.com.au.
They will now become a useful tool for community members seeking more information on the outcomes of assessment.
The community engagement and research undertaken for the Bowdens Silver Project has been comprehensive and Bowdens Silver should be congratulated for taking the time and effort to ensure that the information is readily available to the local community. It is a brave new world for RWC’s consultants who can now expect to add video presentations to their skills set. However, all agree this approach provides a better outcome for interested members of the communities that we work with.
Public exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement and supporting technical assessments for the Bowdens Silver Project will continue until Monday 27 July 2020 and submissions may be made through the Major Projects Portal https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/major-projects/project/9641.
