RWC is proud to announce that Alkane Resources Limited has received development consent for the Tomingley Gold Extension Project.
The Project is located immediately south of Alkane’s existingTomingley Gold Operations (TGO) gold mine. The Project with effectively double the life of TGO and includes underground and open cut mining for the San Antonio and Roswell deposits to produce approximately 745koz of gold over the life of the Project.
The EIS for the Project was prepared by RWC over 12 months ago and is supported by more than 20 specialist reports and assessments from 14 specialist consultants.
Following exhibition of the EIS, RWC and Alkane prepared a range of responses to submissions and requests for information received. RWC’s experience working with and addressing agency issues has been crucial to ensuring each matter raised was closed out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This Project represents the latest in a series of collaborations between RWC and Alkane, commencing with the EIS for the Peak Hill Gold Mine in 1993 and continuing with the original applications for TGO (2011) and the Dubbo Project (2013), as well as numerous modifications and other projects in between.
RWC is proud of our ongoing association with Alkane and we are very pleased to have contributed to the continued success of TGO in particular and the mining and quarrying industries in NSW more generally, and the economic and social benefits that these projects bring to the people of regional NSW.
